There is a full round of midweek La Liga fixtures on the horizon, with Cadiz welcoming Real Madrid to Estadio Ramon de Carranza on Wednesday night.

A three-match unbeaten streak – two wins and one draw – has seen Cadiz climb to thirteenth place in the La Liga table.

At the top, Real Madrid currently find themselves second in the standings – three points behind frontrunners Atletico Madrid.

Following a shaky start to the season, Cadiz CF have turned things around recently and look set to avoid relegation.

A four-match losing streak across January and February threatened the derail their season, but Cadiz have since lost just two of their last eight league games.

Cadiz have also won three of their previous six matches, seeing off Eibar, Valencia and Getafe in that time.

Despite seeing just 23% possession and recording two shots on target last time out, Cadiz managed to hold Celta Vigo to a goalless draw.

On the flip side, Real Madrid are currently enjoying a 11-game unbeaten run in La Liga, having picked up eight wins and four draws since losing to Levante back in January.

In fact, Los Blancos have only lost one of their previous 21 league matches and have sealed five victories in their last six outings.

However, Real Madrid’s title hopes were dealt a blow as Getafe held them to a goalless draw last weekend.

Zinedine Zidane’s men may be enjoying a 15-hame unbeaten streak in all competitions, but they have lost pace in the title race.

Head-to-head: Cadiz can take huge confidence from the fact that they beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the reverse fixture back in October.

Remarkably, Cadiz have won each of their last three meetings with Real Madrid, keeping three clean sheets in the process.

Team news: Cadiz have no fresh injury worries heading into Wednesday’s game, although Fali Jimenez and Salvi are doubts.

Real Madrid will be without Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez, Eden Hazard, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Ferland Mendy and Federico Valverde.

Cadiz’s recent record against Real Madrid is impressive, but there is no denying that Los Blancos should win without a real problems on Wednesday.

Forebet predicts that Real Madrid will score over 1.5 goals and keep a clean sheet en route to victory over Cadiz.
