Arsenal tipped to pile more pressure on Fulham

We have a London derby to look forward to in the Premier League this weekend, with Arsenal hosting Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners currently find themselves ninth in the Premier League table – level on 45 points with tenth-place Leeds.

Meanwhile, Fulham remain inside the relegation zone – two points ahead of second-bottom West Brom and six points behind Newcastle.

Following a 3-0 victory over Sheffield United last weekend, Arsenal have now won four of their last eight Premier League games – picking up two draws and two losses along the way.

Alexandre Lacazette bagged a brace against the Blades, meaning he now has 13 goals in 27 Premier League outings this term.

It is also worth noting that each of Arsenal’s previous four Premier League games have produced over 2.5 goals.

Arsenal cruised into the Europa League semi-finals in midweek, crushing Slavia Prague 4-0 to advance 5-1 on aggregate.

Lacazette netted another double, while there were also goals for Nicolas Pepe and Bukayo Saka in the resounding win.

On the flip side, Fulham are running out of time to save their season, with relegation to the Championship looming large,

Things were looking up for the Cottagers when they managed to notch up a five-game unbeaten streak in February.

However, Scott Parker’s men have since lost five of their previous six matches, including each of their last four.

Despite their recent struggles, it is worth pointing out that Fulham have only lost one of their previous ten away games in all competitions.

Having said that, Fulham are the second-lowest scorers in the Premier League, with just 24 goals to their name this term.

Head-to-head: Arsenal claimed a 3-0 victory over Fulham on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

In fact, the Gunners have won each of their previous four meetings with Fulham – scoring over 2.5 goals on three occasions.

Team news: David Luiz and Kieran Tierney will be unavailable for Arsenal this weekend as the pair continue to recover from injury.

On the other side, Fulham currently have Ademola Lookman, Tom Cairney and Marek Rodak sidelined through injury.

Following a comprehensive Europa League victory in midweek, Arsenal are expected to get the better of relegation-threatened Fulham.

Forebet predicts that the Gunners will score over 1.5 goals en route to dispatching Fulham, piling more pressure on the Cottagers.
