Liverpool set to end Anfield struggles when Fulham visit

Liverpool welcome Fulham to Anfield on Sunday for a game that looks set to impact both ends of the Premier League table.
A woeful run of form has seen Liverpool slip to seventh in the standings – four points outside the top four and 22 points behind frontrunners Manchester City.
At the other end of the table, Fulham sit third from bottom – six points clear of second-bottom West Brom and three points shy of safety.
Remarkably, Liverpool lost their fifth straight Premier League home game on Thursday, going down 1-0 to Chelsea.
In fact, defeats to Burnley, Brighton, Man City and Everton mean that Jurgen Klopp’s men have only managed to win one of their last eight games at Anfield in all competitions.
Looking at the bigger picture – the Reds have only lost 11 of their previous 65 matches in the Premier League.
However, the defending champions’ fall from grace has been spectacular in recent weeks, slipping from first to seventh in little over two months.
It is also worth noting that each of Liverpool’s previous four outings in all competitions have produced under 2.5 goals.
Meanwhile, Fulham have managed to win just four of their 27 league games this term, recording 11 draws and 12 defeats.
Scott Parker’s men boast the joint-best defensive record in the bottom half, although they are currently the league’s fourth-lowest scorers.
Fulham have only lost one of their last six league outings, suffering a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in midweek.
Wins over Everton and Sheffield United have come in that time, but draws against West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace have prevented them from moving out of the bottom three.
No team has recorded more Premier League draws than Fulham this season, and that is why they find themselves stuck in the relegation zone.
Head-to-head: Fulham managed to hold Liverpool to a 1-1 draw when the teams met at Craven Cottage back in December.
However, Liverpool are unbeaten in their last eight meetings with Fulham, picking up six wins and two draws during that period.
Team news: Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez remain sidelined for Liverpool, although Diogo Jota returned from injury in midweek.
Fulham have two notable absentees at the moment, with Marek Rodak and Tom Cairney suffering from finger and knee injuries, respectively.
We all know that Liverpool’s recent form has not been good enough, but the visit of Fulham gives Klopp’s men the perfect opportunity to get back on track.
Forebet predicts that Liverpool will score at least two goals on their way to beating Fulham on Sunday, while a clean sheet is also likely for the home time.
