Manchester United’s Premier League title fight is up as 12 points separate them from first-place Manchester City. The Red Devils are now in need of just holding onto a top-four place.

On Wednesday, Manchester United will visit Selhurst Park to play Crystal Palace. The Eagles shocked Manchester United at the beginning of the season with a 3-1 win.

Wilfried Zaha starred for Crystal Palace at Old Trafford but may play no part on Wednesday due to injury.

Just seven points separate second-place Manchester United and seventh-placed Everton. The race for Champions League qualification is tight. The Red Devils need to keep collecting points to remain in the top four of the league.

Roy Hodgson’s team are unbeaten in their last two league fixtures. After defeating Brighton 2-1, Crystal Palace drew nil-nil with Fulham at the weekend.

The Eagles took 10 points from the last 18 on offer in the Premier League. The club scored just five goals during that time, however. Hodgson’s team are not great in the attack and have tallied just 29 goals for an average of 1.1 per match.

Manchester United also took 10 points from the last 18 available. They outscored opponents 16-5 during that time period. However, that goal difference should be taken with a grain of salt. Manchester United thrashed Southampton 9-0 in a match at Old Trafford.

The away team have won each of the last four games. While Crystal Palace won on their last two trips to Old Trafford, Manchester United won their last two games at Selhurst Park.

Hodgson could be without Zaha. The manager is awaiting him to be cleared by the medical staff. Full-back Nathaniel Clyne could miss the match as well due to a muscle injury.

While Hodgson could have the duo back, seven players are ruled out, including Connor Wickham, Jeffrey Schlupp, Mamadou Sakho, Wayne Hennessey, Nathan Ferguson, James McArthur, and James Tomkins.

Solskjaer has four names on his injury list ahead of the game. Midfielder Paul Pogba remains out of action with a thigh strain. He could return at the weekend.

Edinson Cavani could be available to the manager after recovering from an injury. Juan Mata and Phil Jones are both ruled out.

The away team have won each of the last four games between Crystal Palace and Manchester United. That trend should continue this weekend as the Red Devils seal a low-scoring win against Crystal Palace.
