Can in-form West Ham end Man City’s seemingly unstoppable winning streak?
3991

High-flying Manchester City will be aiming to make it 20 wins in a row when West Ham United visit the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League’s early kick-off on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola’s side sit ten points clear at the top of the Premier League table, although the in-form Hammers are only 14 points behind in fourth place.

Manchester City extended their winning streak to 19 games in all competitions with a straightforward 2-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Cityzens victorious run in the Premier League currently stands at 13 matches, while they are also unbeaten in their previous 17 league outings.

Looking at the bigger picture – Man City have only lost one of their last 36 games in all competitions, with their previous defeat coming all the way back in November.

Not only are Guardiola’s men the second-highest scorers in the Premier League, but they also boast the best defensive record by some distance.

In fact, City have kept ten clean sheets in their last 13 league games, conceding just 15 goals in 25 EPL matches this term.

Needless to say, West Ham will need to be on top form if they are to come away from the Etihad on Saturday with anything to show for their efforts.

Thankfully for the Hammers, they are currently enjoying an outstanding run of their own at the moment.

David Moyes’ side have only lost three of their last 21 matches in all competitions, with just one defeat coming in their previous 11 league games.

With seven wins coming in their last nine Premier League outings, West Ham have managed to cement fourth place in the table – two points clear of fifth-place Chelsea.

It is also worth pointing out that the Hammers are unbeaten in their previous seven away matches in all competitions.

Head-to-head: West Ham managed to hold Man City to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at the London Stadium back in October.

However, that draw ended a run of nine straight wins for Guardiola’s side in this fixture, with City keeping six clean sheets during that period.

Team news: Man City only have one notable injury concern at the moment, with Nathan Ake currently sidelined.

As for West Ham, they will be without Arthur Masuaku, Angelo Ogbonna and Andriy Yarmolenko this weekend.

The Hammers are on an impressive run at the moment, but it is difficult to imagine Man City picking up any other result that a win on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that Man City will score over 2.5 goals on their way to victory over West Ham, although both teams are expected to get on the scoresheet.
