Leicester City welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to the King Power Stadium on Wednesday with a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals at stake.

The two sides are separated by 12 places in the Premier League table, with third-place Leicester leading fifteenth-place Brighton by 18 points.

The Foxes have enjoyed an easy route to the FA Cup fifth round, beating Stoke City 4-0 in the third round before seeing off Brentford 3-1.

In the Premier League, Leicester have only lost one of their last ten games, recording five wins and four draws during that period.

Brendan Rodgers’ side were held to a goalless draw by Wolves on Sunday, despite dominating possession and racking up 13 shots at Molineux.

Still, Leicester remain just seven points behind league-leaders Manchester City and four points inside the top four.

When it comes to the FA Cup, Leicester have lost just one of their previous six home games in the competition.

Following a dreadful start to the 2020/21 campaign, Brighton have turned things around lately with a series of positive results.

After winning just two of their opening 15 league matches this term, the Seagulls are currently enjoying a five-game unbeaten streak.

In that time, Graham Potter’s men have beaten Leeds, Tottenham and Liverpool, as well as drawing with Fulham and Burnley.

Brighton survived a scare in the FA Cup third round, eventually advancing at the expense of fourth-tier Newport County following a penalty shootout.

In the previous round, the Seagulls scraped past third-tier Blackpool, edging the League One side 2-1 on home soil.

Head-to-head: Leicester and Brighton have faced each other seven times since both playing in the Premier League, with Leicester going unbeaten in that time.

The Foxes have picked up five wins and two draws in their last seven meetings with Brighton, keeping five clean sheets along the way.

Team news: Leicester have four players sidelined at the moment, with Dennis Praet, Wesley Fofana, Timothy Castagne and Wes Morgan all injured.

As for Brighton, they could be without as many as seven first-team players on Wednesday. Tariq Lamptey and Solly March are among the club’s notable absentees.

Given Leicester’s recent record against Brighton, the Foxes are expected to secure an easy win and advance to the FA Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.

Forebet predicts that Leicester will keep a customary clean sheet against Brighton. The hosts are also likely to score over 1.5 goals one their way to victory.
