West Ham Favourites for Craven Cottage Clash

Fulham vs West Ham - 06/02/2021

West Ham Favourites for Craven Cottage Clash
2003

Fulham’s mini two game unbeaten run came to an end in midweek as they went down 2-0 in their own backyard to high-flying Leicester City. West Ham bounced back from their defeat to Liverpool last weekend with an impressive 3-1 away win against Aston Villa.

Those results mean that 24pts now separate Fulham in the relegation zone from West Ham in 5th.

Recent history between these two London rivals has favoured the Hammers. West Ham have won six of their last seven competitive and non-competitive matches against Fulham, including the 1-0 win at the London Stadium back in November.

Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of those seven encounters and both teams have scored in three of the duo’s last six meetings.

West Ham head into this weekend’s clash as the clear form favourites having won five of their last six matches in all competitions. Fulham have lost four of their last six fixtures and will be in for another tough 90-minutes on Saturday.

Over 2.5 goals have been scored in three of Fulham’s last five matches as well as in each of West Ham’s last five fixtures, so there is a good chance that the goals will flow at Craven Cottage as well.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid remains the main goal threat for Fulham this season, netting 5-goals in the league so far. Czech midfielder Tomas Soucek leads the way for West Ham with 8-goals in the Premier League, which is three more than either Antonio or Bowen.

Tom Cairney and Terence Kongolo have both been ruled out of their weekend’s clash through injury. West Ham have injury concerns of their own as Arthur Masuaka certainly won’t feature on Saturday and there are doubts over goalkeeper Darren Randolph as well.

West Ham have history and form in their favour this weekend and their hosts Fulham will be expecting a very difficult 90-minutes on Saturday.

Neither side have kept many clean sheets of late so this weekend’s clash has the promise of goals and we’re expecting the match to be entertaining throughout.
