Juventus to Continue Excellent Record Against Sassuolo
2971

Juventus made a real statement of intent on Wednesday as they ended AC Milan’s unbeaten record in Serie A, courtesy of a 3-1 scoreline. Chiesa opened the scoring at the San Siro, but the teams went in level at the break thanks to an equaliser from Calabria.

Chiesa was on hand to reinstate the visitor’s 1-goal advantage shortly after the hour mark and a goal from McKennie in the 76th-minute wrapped up an impressive away win.

Sassuolo returned to winning ways in midweek, following a disappointing 5-1 hammering from Atalanta, as they beat Genoa 2-1 at the MAPEI Stadium. Boga and Raspadori scored the all-important goals that mean the gap between Sunday’s hosts and their guests remains at 1pt.

While both Juventus and Sassuolo have played to a very similar standard so far this season, the head-to-head record between the two clubs heavily favours the hosts this weekend. Juventus have won 10 of their 14 games against Sassuolo and are looking to make it nine games without defeat against their guests this Sunday.

Both teams have scored in four of the duo’s last six league meetings and over 2.5 goals have been produced in all of their last six matches.

Juventus have scored 3 or more goals against Sassuolo in four of their last six games against them and following that impressive win against AC Milan, the Sassuolo defence looks set to be in for a tough 90-minutes on Sunday.

Juventus have won four of their last six matches and head into this weekend’s clash as the clear form favourites as Sassuolo have lost two, drawn one and won three of their last six fixtures.

Both teams have scored in four of the host’s and five of the visitor’s last six outings in Serie A, and over 2.5 goals have been produced in five of Juventus’ and four of Sassuolo’s previous six matches.

Juan Cuadrado, Alex Sandro and Alvaro Morata look set to miss this weekend’s clash for the hosts, while Domenico Berardi, Federico Ricci and Filippo Romagna are all injury concerns for Sassuolo.

Juventus will be determined to make their midweek win over AC Milan count for something on Sunday and the only way to do that is to secure another 3pts against Sassuolo.

This game has the potential to produce plenty of goals, so a bet on both teams to score and over 2.5 goals has plenty of merit. Sassuolo have conceded 7-goals in their last two away games, so a 3-1 win for Juventus could well be on the cards.
