West Ham and Man Utd likely to produce tight encounter
West Ham vs Manchester United - 05/12/2020

In-form West Ham United will be aiming to build on their impressive start to the season when they welcome an unpredictable Manchester United side to the London Stadium on Saturday.
The Hammers currently find themselves fifth in the Premier League table – four points behind first-place Tottenham and one point ahead of ninth-place Man Utd.
West Ham head into this clash on the back of three straight wins, with two clean sheets coming along the way.
After beating both Fulham and Sheffield United 1-0, David Moyes put in a resilient performance to edge Aston Villa 2-1 last time out.
Despite seeing just 34% possession and facing 16 shots (six on target) against Villa, West Ham managed to hold on and claim all three points.
It is also worth pointing out that West Ham scored with their only two attempts on target against Villa, with Angelo Ogbonna and Jarrod Bowen netting early in each half.
The Hammers have now lost just three of their opening ten Premier League matches this season, with five wins and two draws keeping them withing touching distance of the frontrunners.
West Ham also boast one of the best defensive records in the division. In fact, only two teams – Tottenham and Chelsea – have conceded fewer goals than Moyes’ men.
Despite a wildly inconsistent start to the campaign, Man Utd also head into this one on the back of three straight Premier League wins.
After seeing off Everton and West Brom, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side came from 2-0 down to beat Southampton 3-2 last weekend.
Edinson Cavani came off the bench to assist Bruno Fernandes, before the Uruguayan bagged a brace to turn the game around.
However, Man Utd were beaten 3-1 by PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday. Marcus Rashford cancelled out Neymar’s opener, but after Marquinhos put PSG back in front, Neymar scored again.
Needless to say, it is becoming increasingly difficult to predict the outcome of a Man Utd game at the moment.
Head-to-head: West Ham were unbeaten against Man Utd last term, claiming a 2-0 home win, before drawing 1-1 at Old Trafford.
However, Man Utd only lost one of the seven meetings between the two teams prior to last season, picking up four wins and two draws during that period.
Team news: Moyes almost has a fully-fit squad to pick from right now, with Andriy Yarmolenko the only doubt for Saturday’s clash.
Man Utd will be without Luke Shaw and Phil Jones, while Marcus Rashford may not feature after coming off against PSG in midweek.
There isn’t much to separate these two sides right now, but if Man Utd are at their best, they should edge this matchup.
Forebet predicts that both teams will score. However, Man Utd are expected to come out on top.
