Another Stalemate on the Cards as Sevilla host Chelsea

Sevilla and Chelsea are both already through to the knockout stage of this season’s Champions League, but each will be keen to preserve their unbeaten record in Group E.
Sevilla secured a 2-1 win in Russia against Krasnodar in their last Champions League fixture, thanks to a very late effort from Munir.
Sevilla have picked up three wins and a draw from their opening four group games this season and those 10pts are more than enough to see them qualify with two games still to play. The La Liga outfit have scored 6-goals and conceded 3 in their four group games so far, suggesting that we won’t be in for a goal-fest on Wednesday night.
However, four of Sevilla’s last six outings have produced over 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in each of those four games. Wednesday’s hosts have on kept two clean sheets in their last six attempts, which will be music to the ears of the Chelsea forwards. These two clubs met for the very first time in their history in October, where after 90-minutes nothing could separate the two teams and the game ended goalless.
Chelsea are in the same position as Sevilla in Group E, with three wins and a draw to their name. However, the Premier League club top the group table via goal difference having netted 9-goals in their first four matches, only letting in one. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of Chelsea’s last six matches but two of their last three games have produced under 2.5 goals.
Both teams have scored in just two of Chelsea’s last six matches, with the London club keeping four clean sheets during that period. With both teams already assured of knockout football, there is still top spot to play for in Group E. Forebet is expecting another close and competitive 90-minutes between these two clubs and could see the pair playing out another low-scoring draw.
Sevilla could be without the services of Escudero, Acuna, Bounou and Suso for Wednesday’s clash, due to injury and illness, while Chelsea’s first-team looks as strong as ever.
Forebet is backing a tight and tense match on Wednesday with both teams not wanting to give anything away cheaply. Sevilla have only conceded 3-goals and Chelsea have only let in 1-goal in their first four group games, so Forebet is predicting under 2.5 goals to be scored in Wednesday’s clash.
Neither team has lost a game in Group E and both are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions, making a draw the most likely result on Wednesday.
