The final round of fixtures in UEFA Nations League A, Group 1 take place on Wednesday the 18th of November. Three teams can still win the group and two of them will meet at the Silesian Stadium, Chorzów as Poland entertain Netherlands.
Both teams need to win this game and hope Italy drop points in their match in Bosnia to finish top of the group.
Poland come into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat in Italy. The Italians took the lead from the penalty spot midway through the first half and secured maximum points with a second goal in the 84th minute.
That was the second defeat for Poland in this group having lost their opening fixture of the campaign 1-0 in Netherlands.
Poland have picked up two victories, both of which have come against Bosnia who have been relegated to Nations League B for next season. The Poles also picked up a point in a 0-0 draw at home against Italy.

Their first victory came at home against Poland in the opening round of fixtures but that was followed up by a 1-0 defeat at home against Italy. Netherlands then drew two games in succession, one of which was in Bosnia and the other in Italy.
Netherlands have matched their opponents in that they have scored just 5 goals in this group, 3 of which have come at home against Bosnia. Interestingly, Netherlands have won only 1 of their last 6 games including friendlies.
Team news and Poland will be without the suspended Jacek Góralski following his red card in Italy. Piotr Zieliński, Kamil Grosicki, and Arkadiusz Milik will all be hoping to start.
The Dutch are expected to go with much the same starting XI that defeated Bosnia. Donny van de Beek and Patrick van Aanholt will be hoping to start having featured off the bench in that match.
This is going to be a tightly fought contest and we are unlikely to see many goals in the game. It would not be a surprise to see the match end 0-0 and that result will not be good enough for either team to win the group.
