On Friday night, Coventry City host Bournemouth at St Andrew's, as the home team look to kick-start their Championship campaign, while the visitors hope to continue a decent run of league form.
The home side has achieved mixed results since returning to the Championship. In fact, they could not have had more of an inconsistent start to their league campaign.
Mark Robins team opened their league campaign with a 2-1 defeat at Bristol City, before beating QPR 3-2 and a goalless draw with Barnsley last time out. The last two results have certainly shown some promise for City, who are playing in the second tier for the first time since 2012.
Coventry have a mixed recent home record in the Championship, although most of their recent home games were eight years ago and played at their former home the Ricoh Arena.
Therefore it is hard to judge the Sky Blues strength at their temporary home St Andrews just yet in the second tier. However, the win over QPR means that Coventry are unbeaten in 15 home games in all competitions.
Bournemouth have made a decent start to life in the Championship after last seasons relegation from the Premier League. Eddie Howe’s former assistant Jason Tindall has guided the Cherries to seven points from a possible nine so far this season in the English second tier.
Last time out the visitors recorded a 1-0 home win over Norwich City. The victory means that the Cherries are unbeaten in the Championship in 16 games. However, like Coventry, the Cherries have not featured in the second tier in recent seasons until the current campaign.
The team from the south coast last played in the Championship in season 2014/15.
Forebet predicts that Coventry will record a victory in a high-scoring clash to end the visitors strong recent run of results in the second tier.
