Burnley travel to Selhurst Park on Monday to face Crystal Palace, with both sides locked on 42 points in the Premier League table.
The Eagles sit one place above the Clarets due to their superior goal difference, but there really is very little to separate these two teams right now.
Crystal Palace returned to action with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Bournemouth last week but were completely outclassed by Liverpool in their previous game.
The new Premier League champions hammered Palace 4-0 on Wednesday, while Palace failed to register a single shot on target at Anfield.
In fact, Crystal Palace picked up an unwanted record against Liverpool as they became the first team in Premier League history not to have a single touch in their opponent's penalty area.
Still, Palace remain just inside the top half of the table – one point behind ninth-place Arsenal – and still have an outside chance of sneaking into a Europa League place.
Meanwhile, Burnley were thrashed 5-0 by a rampant Manchester City in their first game since the restart. Sean Dyche’s men saw just 28% possession at the Etihad Stadium.
The Clarets then bounced back with a narrow victory over Watford on Thursday. Jay Rodriguez netted an excellent header to hand his side all three points.
Burnley have now lost just one of their previous nine league games – a run that began with back-to-back victories over Leicester and Manchester United in January.
Having said that, Palace are on an impressive run of their own. Roy Hogdson’s men have won four of their last five league games and have kept four clean sheets during that period.
Palace and Burnley have faced each other nine times in the Premier League over the years, with Palace claiming five victories and Burnley winning on three occasions.
However, the Eagles have claimed four straight victories in this fixture and have only conceded one goal in their previous four meetings with Burnley.
The overall head-to-head record between these two sides is relatively even, but it’s fair to say that Palace have definitely enjoyed facing Burnley in recent years.
Looking at the team news, Palace are likely to be without star man Wilfried Zaha after the winger limped off against Liverpool last time out.
As for Burnley, key strikers Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes haven’t featured this side of the break, and it’s unclear whether the pair will be fit for Monday’s clash.
Given the respective goalscoring records of these two sides, this is likely to be a low-scoring encounter with very few clear-cut chances.
Forebet predicts that this game will end goalless.
