Eintracht Frankfurt travel to the Volkswagen Arena to face Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon, as the visitors go in search of their first win since the campaign resumed.

On the other hand, the hosts have picked up six points from a possible nine since the restart and come into this game on the back of a thumping win over Bayer Leverkusen.

Wolfsburg scored and injury-time winner against Augsburg in their first game back, but they were unable to avoid defeat to Borussia Dortmund in their next match.

However, the Wolves bounced straight back by hammering Leverkusen 4-1 last time out. A Marin Pongracic double, along with goals from Max Arnold and Renato Steffen, sealed a comfortable win for Oliver Glasner’s side.

Despite only registering 36% possession at BayArena, Wolfsburg managed to rack up ten shots, eight of which were on target.

Glasner’s men remain 6th, although there is still a significant 11-point gap between them and fifth-place Bayer.

Meanwhile, Eintracht’s dismal run has seen them slip to just two points clear of the bottom three. Last season’s surprise package have only managed to win eight of their 28 league games this term.

Frankfurt returned with a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Borussia Monchengladbach before suffering a 5-2 thrashing against Bayern Munich. However, the Eagles managed to rescue a point against Freiburg last time out.

Adi Hutter’s side were 3-1 down with ten minutes remaining, but late strikes from Daichi Kamada and Timothy Chandler sealed a draw for the hosts – ending a run of five straight defeats.

It’s safe to say that Wolfsburg have enjoyed playing Frankfurt in recent years. The Wolves have claimed five wins in their previous seven meetings and have only lost once during that time.

Wolfsburg clinched a comfortable 2-0 victory over Eintracht in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign, and they’ll be confident of doing the double over the relegation strugglers.

The hosts could be without five players this weekend, with Brazilian duo William and Paulo Otavio among the absentees. However, Wolfsburg will welcome back Klaus Felix from suspension. As for Frankfurt, Goncalo Paciencia and David Abraham will be miss out.

Wolfsburg are unbeaten in ten of their previous 12 games in all competitions, and they look set to add another victory to their tally against an off-form Eintracht outfit on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score, but Wolfsburg are expected to outscore Frankfurt and take all three points.
