Goals could be scarce when FC Minsk entertain Zhodino

FC Minsk put an end to their losing streak in the Belarus top flight last weekend when they registered an impressive 3-1 win away from home at Slavia Mozyr and this will give Saturday’s hosts a much-needed boost of confidence ahead of this upcoming clash against Torpedo Zhodino at their Stadion FK Minsk.

Saturday’s hosts had previously suffered three defeats on the trot with losses incurred against Energetyk-BGU, BATE and Rukh Brest, but FC Minsk’s form and results at home have at least been pretty steady overall.

FC Minsk have won 9 of their last 12 matches on home turf in the Vysshaya Liga so they’ll be looking to results at home to lift them closer to the top three with a win on Saturday, and with the momentum from last weekend’s win on the road at Slavia Mozyr, FC Minsk could be set for further success here.

In their last encounter at home against Torpedo Zhodino, FC Minsk ran out 2-0 winners but generally, there have been some very tight clashes between these sides with 14 of the last 15 meetings producing under 2.5 goals in total.

With just one win from their last seven matches on the road though in the Vysshaya Liga, Torpedo Zhodino look far from a guaranteed three points here, and this clash could well end up being a low-scoring affair as a result.
