FK Khujand to kick-off league campaign with a victory

On Wednesday afternoon, CSKA Pomir host FK Khujand in their opening game of the new Tajikistan Vysshaya Liga campaign.

The home side finished last season with a four-game unbeaten run, including recording three victories and a draw. The results saw them finish fourth place in the table, just a point outside the AFC Cup group stage spots.

They will hope that the positive end to last season’s campaign will continue into the last edition of the Tajikistan top-flight season.

Khujand were highly inconsistent on their travels last season, with a record of three wins and three defeats in their final six away matches illustrating that inconsistency.
