BATE to bounce back against Rukh Brest
2462

Moving onto Saturday’s slate of fixtures in the Belarus top flight, and the next clash features an encounter between BATE and newcomers Rukh Brest with both teams heading into this encounter on the back of defeats from last weekend’s action in the Vysshaya Liga.

Taking a look at BATE first and last season’s runners-up in the Belarus top flight also find themselves in an early predicament.

Saturday’s hosts currently occupy third from bottom in the Vysshaya Liga and yet to get off the mark following early back-to-back defeats to Energetyk-BGU 3-1 away and last weekend’s 2-1 loss on the road at Slavia Mozyr.

However, both of these losses were incurred on their travels and BATE now return to their Borisov Arena for this upcoming clash against newcomers, Rukh Brest, where they’ve suffered just 1 defeat out of their last 13 matches.

BATE are priced as outright favourites in the win markets for this clash but there’s still value on offer in the goals market and this option looks favourable as 9 of BATE’s last 13 matches at home in the Vysshaya Liga have resulted in over 2.5 goals.

Rukh Brest started their first ever campaign in the Belarus top flight in positive and encouraging fashion as the league’s newcomers sealed all three points on the opening day of the season with a 1-0 win away from home at Dinamo Minsk.

However, Rukh Brest were unable to back up that impressive opening day result recently when they were dealt a disappointing 1-0 loss at home to Energetyk-BGU at their Stadyen DASK Brestski and they now face a difficult looking trip to face BATE despite their hosts’ early problems this term.

The goals market also looks appealing where Rukh Brest are concerned as 9 of their last 14 away matches in all competitions have resulted in over 2.5 goals and although they’re facing BATE for the first time ever in any competition, they’re likely to face an attacking onslaught from their hosts who’ll be desperate to get their season off and running with a win here.

BATE will be desperate for all three points here to get their season off the ground and while goals could well feature here, the hosts look set for all three points in this clash.
