Arsenal and Everton set for a thriller in London

Arsenal host Everton on Sunday evening at the Emirates in a game featuring two teams on the up in the Premier League.
The Gunners head into the game on a nine-match unbeaten run in all competitions. Mikel Arteta has made the club difficult to defeat since taking over the reins in December.
Everton head to London in good form since Carlo Ancelotti took over the managerial duties. The Toffees are unbeaten in their last five matches in the Premier League. They have bagged back to back league wins over Watford and Crystal Palace.
The Emirates has been a difficult place for Everton to go to over the years. The Toffees do not win in north London against the Gunners and Ancelotti will hope to change that trend this weekend.
Arsenal are coming off of a Thursday night Europa League last 32 first leg match against Olympiacos. The Gunners won the fixture 1-0 thanks to an Alexandre Lacazette goal.
The Frenchman is in form for Arsenal having scored in back to back games in all competitions. He tallied a strike in Arsenal’s 4-0 demolition of Newcastle United last weekend.
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last three home matches in the league. Two of those matches ended in wins to nil against Manchester United and Newcastle United.
Everton are unbeaten in four of their last six road games. However, the Toffees have been inconsistent all season long away from Goodison Park. Their away form should continue to haunt them on Sunday at the Emirates.
Arteta has a few injury worries heading into the game. Full-backs Kieran Tierney and Cedric Soares are both ruled out of the match. Pablo Mari is still gaining match fitness and could be included for the fixture.
Lucas Torreira has been battling an illness while Mesut Ozil is dealing with personal issues. It is unknown if either will make the squad for the game.
Ancelotti also has injuries to contend with. Theo Walcott, Bernard, and Andre Gomes are all recovering from their various health issues. Bernard is the only one of the three that looks guaranteed to play at the moment. Gomes is recouping from a fractured foot and will likely remain out of action.
The previous match between Arsenal and Everton in the league finished in a nil-nil draw. Sunday’s match should also end in a draw with both teams scoring this time around. Everton’s woes at the Emirates should continue as the two sides combine for over 2.5 goals in a stalemate.
