Brentford set to enhance promotion hopes against Leeds
Brentford vs Leeds United - 11/02/2020
2927
The race for promotion to the Premier League could be one of the most exciting in years, as there are just six points between top spot and fifth-place in the table.
Two of the teams hoping to seal an automatic promotion spot from the Championship this season are Brentford and Leeds, who meet at Griffin Park on Tuesday night.
Brentford are currently fifth-place in the table but are just two points behind the second-place visitors in the second-tier table. After a slight wobble in form in January, the Bees now look to be back on track following back-to-back victories over Hull City and Middlesbrough.

Thomas Frank’s team have certainly had an eye for goal in the second tier, as only leaders West Brom have scored more goals in the Championship this season. That attacking prowess has been on full display of late, as the home side has scored at least three goals in five of their last eight league outings.
The form of 24-year-old striker Ollie Watkins has a lot to do with Brentford’s free-scoring displays, as the forward has scored 20 league goals this season.
Leeds are currently hanging on to the second automatic promotion spot attempting to finally seal a return to the Premier League.
However, Marcelo Bielsa’s team has suffered a major collapse in form in recent weeks, as the Whites have suffered four defeats in their last five Championship outings while winning just two of their last ten matches in the English second tier.
Unlike Brentford, Leeds have struggled for goals of late in the Championship, having failed to score in four of their last five outings. Their lack of attacking efforts has contributed to five of their last six league games producing under 2.5 goals.
Forebet predicts that Brentford’s recent winning run will continue in this clash and that the Bees will move above the visitors in the table.
