Sampdoria have endured a poor Serie A campaign. Claudio Ranieri’s team are just five points above the relegation zone after an inconsistent recent run of league form.
Despite their lowly position in the table, there have been signs of things improving for the visitors, as they have picked up four points from their last two league games, including last time out when they hammered Brescia 5-1.
Their away form has been highly inconsistent of late in the Italian top-flight, with just two wins in their last 13 outings on their travels in Serie A.
