Millwall’s slow but steady rise up the Championship table continued on Sunday afternoon when they edged the points against London rivals, Brentford, at The Den in a narrow 1-0 win and has lifted The Lions into the top half of the Championship and 11th place.
New Years Day’s hosts, Millwall, have now suffered just 1 defeat out of their last 10 matches under manager, Gary Rowett, and indeed, since the arrival of Rowett, Millwall have lost just 2 of his 13 matches in charge of the London club, and the confidence is growing amongst the camp.

Luton Town have had to endure a difficult first half of their Championship campaign which started in promising fashion with a 3-3 draw with Middlesbrough, but The Hatters currently sit second from bottom in the second tier following a miserable sequence of results recently.
Wins have been sporadic for Luton throughout the season to date but the defeats have flowed on a regular basis as Graeme Jones’s side have been unable to come up with any answers upon their return to the Championship.
Luton head into this clash against an in-form Millwall outfit having lost 4 of their last 5 matches overall with defeats incurred against Stoke City, Preston North End, Swansea City and Bristol City.
The visitors have earned just 1 point from the last possible 15 on offer thanks to a 3-3 draw with Fulham at Kenilworth Road but losing their last 8 away matches on the trot must have made a massive impact on Luton’s confidence, especially away from home.
