QPR and Hull to both score in mid-table clash
2476

QPR head into Sunday’s clash with Hull City on the back of three matches without a win in the Championship following a disappointing 1-0 loss away from home at Reading on Boxing Day.

An earlier 5-3 defeat away at second from bottom Barnsley along with a disappointing 2-2 draw at home with London rivals, Charlton Athletic, means that QPR have picked up just 1 point from the last possible 9 on offer in the second tier, so there’s no guarantees of success for The R’s at Loftus Road in this upcoming clash against Hull City.

Once again, it’s been inconsistency that has let QPR down in this season’s Championship campaign and it looks like another season of mid-table mediocrity for the hosts who have won 4, drawn 4 and lost 4 so far this term at Loftus Road.

However, what we can almost depend upon is that both teams are likely to score especially at Loftus Road as 9 of QPR’s 12 home matches to date have seen both teams hit the back of the net.

Hull City are another side that are almost impossible to predict as The Tigers fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day at their KCOM Stadium despite beating Birmingham City 3-0 in the previous match at home!

Hull have also registered a 2-1 home win against Stoke City but have also lost to Leeds United in a 2-0 defeat at Elland Road, so The Tigers have also posted mixed results in recent weeks too, so they also can’t be trusted for a win here either.

The visitors are without a win from their last 4 matches on the road as they’ve drawn at Middlesbrough and Charlton Athletic along with defeats at Barnsley and Leeds United, and having won just 3 of their last 14 matches on their travels in the Championship, a win for the visitors also looks far from guaranteed.

7 of Hull’s 11 away matches this season though have resulted with both teams scoring, and with the likes of forwards Bowen (15 goals) and Grosicki (6 goals) in their attacking personnel, Hull at least look good to hit the back of the net at Loftus Road this Sunday afternoon.

With both teams in inconsistent form, both teams to score here looks likely.
