Alaves have proven to be highly inconsistent in La Liga in season 2019/20. Asier Garitano’s team are currently 15th place in the Spanish top-flight table ahead of welcoming struggling Leganes to the Estadio de Mendizorroza on Friday night.
The home sides last few matches have rather summed up their league campaign so far. They have lost their last two league games against Real Madrid and Granada after two straight wins in their previous matches against Real Valladolid and Eibar.

Leganes are enduring a poor campaign in La Liga, as the team from the outskirts of the capital are currently 19th place in the table, after collecting just nine points from their 16 outings in the Spanish top-flight.
Leganes poor form dates back to the end of last season. In fact, they have won just two of their last 18 La Liga matches since May. There was a small boost last time out for Javier Aguirre’s team, as they ended a five-game winless streak by recording a 3-2 home win over fellow strugglers Celta Vigo.
The visitors are poor travellers, which has not helped their chances of survival this season. They have failed to win in eight league matches on their travels while suffering seven defeats.
