Sheffield United to continue great PL form against Burnley
2355

Sheffield United host Burnley on Saturday at Bramall Lane. The Blades go into the weekend in eighth place in the Premier League with 13 points from 30 possible.

Chris Wilder’s team has been the best of the three promoted sides this season and could finish the weekend as high as fifth place if results go their way elsewhere.

Burnley are just one point behind Sheffield United in the table as the middle of the Premier League pack is close together. The Clarets have collected 12 points in total and go into the weekend on the back of two consecutive losses.

Sean Dyche’s team lost 2-1 to Leicester City before falling 4-2 to Chelsea a week ago. Burnley will hope to turn their recent poor form around on the round. However, the Clarets are winless on their travels this term and are five Premier League teams not to win away from home.

Sheffield United haven’t made home field count this term. They have collected six points from 15 possible. Their recent home win against Arsenal, 1-0, ended a three-match home losing streak. Wilder will aim for his Blades to crack on following their victory over the Gunners at Bramall Lane.

Dyche could have three injured players back for Burnley’s trip to Yorkshire. Danny Drinkwater, who has appeared in just one match since arriving from Chelsea on loan, could finally be fit to make his Premier League debut for Burnley.

Striker Chris Wood and defender Phil Bardsley could also make the final team for Burnley. However, Johann Berg Gudmundsson is ruled out due to a thigh injury.

Heading into the weekend, Sheffield United do not have any injury issues and Wilder will have a full squad to select players from. The Blades are unbeaten in three straight matches with five points from nine. Wilder will be able to keep his team the same or similar against Burnley.

Burnley have not won in their last seven matches away from Turf Moor. The Clarets will struggle on the road once more when they go to Bramall Lane. Three of Burnley’s last four matches have seen over 2.5 goals and both teams score.

Saturday’s match should once again see both teams score as Burnley concede goals once more. They have allowed six scores in their last two matches in the league.

Sheffield United will take all three points against the Clarets and continue their great upper-half of the table form. The two teams will combined for over 2.5 goals with both teams finding the back of the net.
