Substitute Adam Lallana scored a late equaliser to rescue a point for Liverpool at Old Trafford. The Reds’ 100% record may have come to an end, but Liverpool still remain unbeaten in the league this season.

Marcus Rashford gave Manchester United the lead in the first half after VAR decided there was no foul by Victor Lindelof on Divock Origi in the build-up. The England forward converted a Daniel James cross on 36 minutes.

Despite dominating possession, Liverpool weren’t at their best. The Reds failed to make their superiority count and couldn’t get their trademark free-flowing style of play into action.

Man of the Match: Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)

Marcus Rashford was a constant threat to Liverpool’s defence throughout the match. The 21-year-old has looked a little off the pace in recent weeks, but showed everyone what he is capable of with an outstanding display on Sunday.

Not only did he score United’s only goal, his pace was often too much for the opposition to handle. His intelligent runs allowed him to pick the ball up in dangerous areas, while creating space for his teammates in the process.
