The Premier League resumes following the international break and Manchester United are already coming under pressure.

The Red Devils cannot continue to drop points in the manner they have been during the early stages of the season. However, they face tough opposition in Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon in what has the makings of a great game.

Manchester United closed for the international break with a 1-1 draw at Southampton.  Having taken the lead through Daniel James in the first half, it was a disappointing section half display from the visitors and they conceded an equaliser which came from a corner.

That result means Manchester United have won only one of their four Premier League games this season.  They started with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Chelsea and things were looking up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players.  However, they missed a penalty and failed to hold on to a lead at Wolverhampton Wanderers, finishing the game level at 1-1 and then lost 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace.

Manchester United also missed a penalty in that match and there has been some confusion as to who is taking them this season.

Trends show Manchester United have won only one of their last nine Premier League games which is not the form of a team capable of challenging for the title. However, they are undefeated in sixteen of their last nineteen at Old Trafford.

Leicester City will head to Old Trafford full of confidence.  They defeated Bournemouth 3-1 at home prior to the international break and that means they have won their last two games in the Premier League. The Foxes defeated Sheffield United 2-1 away and beat Newcastle United on penalties in the League Cup.

Trends show Leicester City are undefeated in their four Premier League matches this season.  In addition to the two wins they have drawn with Wolves at home and Chelsea away.  They are on a run of six games unbeaten and have lost just one of their last nine matches in all competitions.

In their last twelve away games in all competitions, Leicester City have seen both teams score in eleven. Both teams have scored in each of their three away matches in all competitions this season.

Looking ahead to the team news and Manchester United are sweating on the fitness of Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.  Paul Pogba has an ankle injury and is set to miss the game along with Luke Shaw and Eric Bailly.

Leicester City will hope all their stars return from international duty unscathed.  They have no injury concerns at the time of writing and should have their full squad available.

This could be a very close game in which both teams find the back of the net.  However, Manchester United could come out on top as they have won seven of their last ten meetings against the Foxes, with the other three ending in draws.
