On Tuesday morning (GMT), two of South Korea’s high-fliers Ulsan and FC Seoul go head-to-head at Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium in a game that could be pivotal in the K-League title race.
Ulsan are currently only behind league leaders Jeonbuk Motors courtesy of an inferior goal difference. However, this clash could well hamper the home sides momentum.
Seoul have slipped six points behind the top two teams in the K-League. A win could put the visitors right back in the title race, though, while denting the home sides title chances this season.
Ulsan are definitely in the better form of the pair, as the home side are unbeaten in 12 K-League matches. However, two draws in their last three league outings, including last time out against Sangju Sangmu, has slightly hindered Ulsan’s title challenge.
The home side may have drawn too many league games of late, but the visitors have suddenly found league victories hard to come by. In fact, they have recorded just one win in their last five K-League outings.
Surprisingly considering their poor form of late, Seoul have actually scored at least two goals in their last nine league outings. With the home side failing to keep a clean sheet in their last four games, the visitors may just continue their prolific run of form in this clash.
This clash is one of a very strong home team versus a decent away side. Ulsan head into this match on the back of five home wins in seven matches in the K-League. They are also unbeaten in that seven-game stretch.
Seoul have won four of their last six matches on their travels in the South Korean top-flight. One factor that does favour the home side is that the visitors have beaten them just once in their last six meetings.
Forebet predicts that these two teams will play out a low-scoring draw, which will be no good for either sides title ambitions.
