Seongnam and Sangju Sangmu too close to call

The South Korean K-League has just entered the second half of the campaign and there is still much to settle. One issue is who will finish in the Championship Group and who will finish in the Relegation Group.
Two clubs hoping to seal their place in the top-six are Seongnam and Sangju Sangmu, who meet on Friday morning in the K-League.
There is very little between the two teams in terms of current league position. Sangmu are sixth-place, occupying the last spot in the Championship Group. Meanwhile, the home side are ninth and just six points worse off.
A win would certainly boost Seongnam’s chances of breaking into the top-six. The home side have been highly inconsistent this season. However, a three-game unbeaten run suggests that their form has turned for the better.
One facet of their game that Seongnam needs to improve upon if they are to make the Championship Group is their home form. They have struggled for victories on home soil of late in the K-League.
Another negative heading into this clash is that they have failed to beat the visitors in the last three meetings suffering two defeats in the process.
Sangju Sangmu cannot claim to have been that consistent this season. In fact, their last five K-League games sum up their inconsistency, as they have won two, drawn one and lost two.
The visitors are far from assured of a place in the top-six this season, as they are just four points clear of the teams below them in the standings. A poor run of games may just result in Sangmu falling into the Relegation Group.
These two teams are similar in quality and this game is tough to call. Therefore, it is of little surprise that Forebet predicts that this game will finish in a low-scoring draw.
