Can Mjoendalen move away from the relegation zone against Ranheim?

The Norwegian Eliteserien’s 10th-place club Ranheim host 13th-place Mjoendalen on Sunday at the Extra Arena.
Mjoendalen are only outside of the relegation places thanks to goal difference and desperately need a victory.
Ranheim are coming off of a 2-0 loss to league leaders Molde. The loss ended a two-match winning streak that saw Ranheim outscore their opponents 4-1.
Mjoendalen are winless in their last five matches. They did pick up a 1-1 draw against Kristiansund BK in their previous match. The draw ended a two-match losing streak in which Mjoendalen were outscored 7-3.
The good news for Mjoendalen this weekend is the home form of Ranheim. The Extra Arena hasn’t been extra special for Svein Maalen’s team. Ranheim have secured just six of 15 points at home, which is the second lowest figure in the Eliteserien.
Ranheim have conceded 11 times at home which is the second most in the league. They have turned things around at home in recent weeks. Two of Ranheim’s last three home matches have finished in victories.
Those wins saw Ranheim outscore their opponents 6-2. The scoreline should be taken with a grain of salt, however. Ranheim put five goals past Viking before eking out a 1-0 win against Stromgodset.
Mjoendalen are winless in four of five away matches this season and have lost back to back away games. Although Ranheim haven’t been great at home, Mjoendalen will be low on confidence playing away from home.
The club was promoted from the second division at the end of last season after finishing second. Mjoendalen are now finding life difficult in the top tier but can still salvage their season.
