Strugglers meet in the Eliteserien

Stabaek and Tromso have made poor starts their respective Eliteserien campaigns. The pair currently occupy the two relegation spots in the Norwegian top-flight. The strugglers meet on Monday evening at the Nadderud Stadion.
The Norwegian league campaign is in its early stages, with most teams playing just ten games so far so there is plenty of time for things to change for both these teams in the Eliteserien. The league table is that congested that a win for either team could see them move out of the relegation zone.
Stabaek are in slightly a false position, as the home side has played just eight league games this season. With a couple of victories, they could be in the heady heights of midtable.
However, league wins have been hard to come by for the home side of late in the Norwegian top-flight. In fact, points have been hard to come by for Stabaek, as they have suffered defeat in four of their last five league games.
The home sides recent struggle in the Eliteserien has mainly been down to a lack of firepower.
They have failed to score in all four of those aforementioned league defeats. Only three of the home sides players have scored in the league, tallying a meagre total of just six goals.
Tromso have endured a woeful time of late in the league, losing seven of their last ten matches. The visitors also have the second poorest defensive record in the league, having conceded 19 league goals this season.
However, there were signs of improvement last time out, as the visitors recorded a 2-1 victory over league leaders, Molde. The win may not count as a massive revival, but it was a highly creditable result.
At the minute, only two goals separate these two sides in the table. Forebet predicts that Tromso’s mini-revival will be cut short though and that Stabaek will record a win in a high-scoring clash.
