We have enjoyed a fantastic season in the German Bundesliga and there are many things to be decided on the final day.  All nine matches will take place on Saturday afternoon and one of the picks of the games takes place at Stadion im Borussia-Park.

Borussia Monchengladbach welcome Borussia Dortmund for a match which will have huge implications in terms of the title race and top four.  The visitors are 2 points behind league leaders Bayern Munich and must win to have any chance of winning the Bundesliga.  The hosts are currently in fourth place but level on points with Bayer Leverkusen and 1 point ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt.

This has the makings of a dramatic end to the season and Monchengladbach returned to winning ways last weekend, defeating Nurnberg 4-0 away from home. It was their first win in four Bundesliga games having lost to RB Leipzig at home and Stuttgart away plus picked up a point at home to Hoffenheim.

It is home form which is the biggest concern for Monchengladbach and trends show they have won only one of their last eight games in all competitions on home soil.  They have failed to win any of the last seven Bundesliga games at home and have lost four.

Defensively, Monchengladbach have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven home league matches.  They have conceded 2 or more goals in five of those seven games.

Borussia Dortmund recorded a crucial 3-2 home win over Fortuna Dusseldorf last week which has taken the title down to the final game. It was their first win in three games having lost at home to Schalke and drawn away to Werder Bremen, both of which were disappointing results.

Trends show Borussia Dortmund have won only two of their last seven away Bundesliga games.  One of the defeats was the heavy 5-0 loss at Bayern Munich which was a huge setback in their season.  However, Borussia Dortmund have lost just two of their last eight away league matches.

They have seen over 2.5 goals in each of their last five away games and have scored 2 or more goals in three of the last four on the road.  Attacking seems to be the best option as the defence has not always been reliable this season.

Team news and Monchengladbach are definitely without the injured Florian Mayer.  Fabian Johnson, Patrick Herrmann, Raffael, Lars Stindl and Mamadou Doucoure are doubtful.

Borussia Dortmund travel without Marius Wolf who is suspended.  Achraf Hakimi will miss the game with a foot injury while Roman Burki, Abdou Diallo and Dan-Axel Zagadou are doubtful.

Both teams need to win this match and that should set-up a cracking game of football.  Neither team are likely to keep a clean sheet but Dortmund are the better side and could come away with the victory.
