On Saturday afternoon, Monchengladbach host Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga, as the home side looks to keep in touch with league leaders Dortmund.

Monchengladbach are second in the German top-flight, seven points behind BVB in the race for the title. The Foals head into this clash on the back of a run of five wins in their last seven Bundesliga matches.

Clean sheets have been at the heart of the home side’s recent good form in the German top-flight, as the Foals have kept clean sheets in six of their last seven league matches, including their last three league outings.

Monchengladbach have been formidable of late on home soil in the Bundesliga, winning their last 12 league games on home soil. A key to the home side’s recent stellar home form has been their attacking prowess, as they have scored at least two goals in their last 14 home matches.

However, the Foals have been just as impressive in defence on home soil of late, keeping clean sheets in five of their last six Bundesliga matches.

Hertha Berlin have struggled for wins of late in the German top-flight, winning just once in their last six outings in the Bundesliga. Last time out the team from the capital suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Wolfsburg. Hertha’s recent poor run has seen them drop to ninth place in the table, three points outside the European spots.

Hertha’s recent away record is not great, as Pal Dardai’s side has won just two of their last nine matches on their travels in the German top-flight. Their recent away games in the Bundesliga have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six away outings.

Forebet predicts that Monchengladbach will record a victory in a high scoring game to maintain their position in second place in the Bundesliga table.
