Dortmund to consolidate position at the top of the Bundesliga

On Saturday afternoon, Bundesliga leaders Dortmund play host to perennial overachievers Hoffenheim at the Signal Iduna Park.
Dortmund are now seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga after a four-game unbeaten run in the German top-flight. A 2-2 draw at in-form Eintracht Frankfurt last time out in the league ended a three-game winning run for BVB, though.
Lucien Favre’s team have been prolific throughout the Bundesliga campaign. That attacking prowess has continued in recent league matches, as BVB have scored at least twice in seven of their last ten outings in the German top-flight.
Dortmund have an excellent recent home record in the Bundesliga, winning nine of their last ten matches on home soil. Unsurprisingly, BVB have been lethal in front of goal home soil of late too, scoring at least two goals in each of their last ten league outings.
Hoffenheim are lurking just outside the Bundesliga top six after indifferent league form in the German top-flight. Julian Nagelsmann’s team have not been terrible of late in the league, but have just drawn too many games, seven in their last nine to be precise.
Last time out the visitors drew 1-1 with Fortuna Dusseldorf, which was another draw that hampered their chances of returning to the European spots.
While the visitor’s recent Bundesliga games have not been that high scoring, both teams have scored in ten of their last 11 outings in the German top-flight.
Hoffenheim are unbeaten in seven away games in the Bundesliga, picking four wins and three draws. Their recent away matches in the league have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in eight of their last nine games on their travels.
Forebet predicts that Dortmund will record a victory in a high scoring clash to maintain their healthy lead at the top of the Bundesliga table.
