On Saturday afternoon, Eintracht Frankfurt hosts Borussia Dortmund at the Commerzbank-Arena, as the visitors look to maintain their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table.

Eintracht Frankfurt are once again enjoying a strong campaign in the German top-flight. The home side are currently in a Europa League spot, just three points outside the Champions League positions.

Despite their lofty position in the table, Frankfurt have been inconsistent of late in the Bundesliga. The home side has won just two of their last five Bundesliga games, but have also lost just once in those aforementioned five league games. Last time out, Adi Hutter’s team drew 2-2 at Werder Bremen.

Frankfurt’s recent Bundesliga matches have been highly entertaining affairs, with over 2.5 goals scored in nine of their last ten league games.

The home sides form on home soil in the German top-flight has been patchy of late, as they have won two and lost two of their last four home games in the Bundesliga. Their recent home matches in the Bundesliga have been high scoring with over 2.5 goals scored in their last seven games.

Dortmund will be looking to maintain or even extend their six-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table. BVB have won 15 of their 19 league games this season, including winning nine of their last ten Bundesliga matches. Last time out in the German top-flight, Lucien Favre’s team hammered Hannover 5-1.

Considering their record in the Bundesliga this season, it is unsurprising that Dortmund also have a strong recent away record, having won six of their last seven games on their travels. BVB’s recent away games in the German top-flight have also been relatively high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last seven away matches.

Forebet predicts that Dortmund will record a narrow victory in a high scoring game to maintain their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table.
