On Saturday evening, RB Leipzig and Dortmund go head-to-head at the Red Bull Arena, in a potentially massive match in the Bundesliga.

RB Leipzig will be looking to consolidate their position in the Bundesliga’s top-four, as they are currently three points clear of fifth-place Wolfsburg. However, the home side are 11 points behind the league leaders.

Leipzig would have been closer to the league leaders without a recent inconsistent run of form that has seen them win three and lose of their last six league games. Last time they recorded a 3-2 home win over Werder Bremen.

The victory over Bremen was RB Leipzig’s fourth straight victory on home soil in German top-flight. In fact, Leipzig are unbeaten in ten games at the Red Bull Arena in the Bundesliga.

The home side has managed to score at least two goals in seven of their last eight outings on home soil in the German top-flight, including their last four home league games.

Dortmund have been outstanding this season in the Bundesliga, and are six points clear of champions Bayern Munich.

BVB have won seven of their last eight matches in the German Bundesliga, including winning 2-1 against Monchengladbach. The leaders have also been prolific of late in the German top-flight, scoring at least two goals in six of their last seven league matches.

Lucien Favre’s side has won five of their last six games on the road in the Bundesliga. A 2-1 defeat at Dusseldorf in their last away match ended a five-game winning run on their travels in the German top-flight.

Dortmund’s recent away matches in the Bundesliga have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six matches on the road.

Forebet predicts that RB Leipzig will put a dent in Dortmund’s title hopes by recording a victory in a high scoring game.
