On Sunday evening, Barcelona host Eibar at the Nou Camp, as the Catalan giants look to maintain their lead at the top of the table.

Barcelona are currently five points clear of second Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga. However, the team from the capital play earlier than the reigning champions so could cut their lead to just two points with a victory over Levante.

The Catalan giants have been in good form of late in the Spanish top-flight, winning their last five matches in La Liga. Last time out Ernesto Valverde’s team recorded a 2-1 win at Getafe.

The home side has been prolific in front of goal of late in La Liga, scoring at least twice in nine of their last ten games, including their last five matches. The reigning champions have also conceded just once in their last five league outings.

Unsurprisingly, Barcelona have a strong recent record at the Nou Camp in La Liga, winning four of their last five games, while also scoring at least twice in their last five outings on home soil in the league.

Eibar are currently 12th in La Liga, five points clear of the relegation zone after a relatively poor run of form in the Spanish top-flight.

The visitors have failed to win in five games in La Liga, although their last four league games have finished in draws. Their recent league outings have been low scoring affairs, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five matches.

Eibar have a poor recent away record in La Liga, as they have won just once in their last nine matches on their travels while failing to win any of their last four away games.

Forebet predicts that Barcelona will record a comfortable victory in a high scoring game to maintain their lead at the top of La Liga.
