Rangers maintain top spot in the SPL
On Wednesday night, Rangers host Aberdeen in the SPL, as the home side looks to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
Rangers are currently a point ahead of city rivals and champions Celtic in the race for the SPL title. The Gers are currently unbeaten in seven league games, having recorded four straight victories, including last time out when they won 2-1 at Hearts.
Steven Gerrard’s team have been prolific of late in the Scottish top-flight, scoring at least two goals in six of their last seven outings in the SPL. Their attacking prowess has led to there being over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last seven league matches.
Rangers have been formidable at Ibrox of late in the SPL of late, as they are unbeaten in ten games, having recorded nine wins in the process. The Gers attacking threat has been on full display in their home games of late, as they have scored at least two goals in eight of their last ten home games in the Scottish top-flight.
Aberdeen have endured an inconsistent SPL campaign this season and are currently languishing in seventh place in the table. The Dons had recorded three straight league wins until a 3-0 defeat at Motherwell last time out in the SPL.
The visitor’s recent SPL games have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six matches.
The Dons have been poor on their travels in the SPL of late, winning just one of their last six away games, while also losing three of their last four games on their travels.
Although their last three away games have produced over 2.5 goals, ten of their last 13 matches on their travels have produced under 2.5 goals.
