PSG to return to winning ways in Strasbourg

On Wednesday night, French giants PSG travel to Strasbourg in Ligue One, as the champions look to return to winnings ways after a rare blip last time out.

Strasbourg have made a solid start to their Ligue 1 campaign, as the home side currently sit eighth place in the French top-flight table.

The home side heads into this tough clash on the back of just one league defeat in eight matches. However, last time out Strasbourg ended a four-game winless run by recording a 4-1 victory at Rennes.

Prior to the win last time out, the home sides league games had been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in their previous four matches.

Strasbourg have a mixed home record of late in Ligue One. However, they have won just three of their last 13 games in the French top-flight. Both teams have scored in seven of their last nine home games on home soil.

Ligue One leaders PSG ended a 14-match winning run in the league last time out by drawing 2-2 at Bordeaux. The champion’s recent league games have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in 14 of their last 15 Ligue One outings.

The fact the visitors have scored more than two goals in 14 of those aforementioned league games has been a big factor in the goal-filled games.

Despite the draw last time out against Bordeaux, the team from the French capital are 14 points clear of second place Montpellier at the top of Ligue 1.

PSG are unbeaten in 15 away games in Ligue One, having recorded 11 wins in the process, including six of their last seven games. The champions have also scored at least two goals in their last seven away matches in Ligue One.

Forebet predicts that PSG will return to winning ways by recording a victory in a high scoring encounter.
