Lille set to win big Ligue One clash

On Saturday afternoon, Lille and Lyon clash at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in arguably the biggest game of the Ligue One weekend.
Lille made a stellar start to their Ligue 1 campaign and currently sit fourth place in the table, just a point behind second-place Lyon in the French top-flight table.
Despite a good start to their good season, the home side has now failed to win in three league games, suffering two defeats and picking up just one draw.
Last time out, Lille suffered a 2-0 defeat at Nice. The game was Lille’s third game out of four in Ligue One that had produced under 2.5 goals.
Lille’s recent home form has been good in Ligue One, as they are unbeaten in ten matches, having recorded eight wins and two draws.

Lyon have hit good form of late in Ligue One, having recorded four wins from five outings while remaining unbeaten in the process. Last time out in Ligue One, OL recorded a 1-0 home win over St Etienne.
Their good run of form has led to their lofty position of second in the French top-flight table.
Lyon’s recent away form in Ligue One has been inconsistent, although OL have won three of their last four away games. Lyon’s recent away matches in Ligue One have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in nine of their last ten games on their travels in Ligue 1.
