Benfica to top table with a win over Moreirense

Portuguese giants Benfica will look to move to the top of the Primeira Liga on Friday night when they host Moreirense at the Estadio Da Luz.
Benfica are currently third in the Primeira Liga table, a point behind leaders Porto and second place Sporting Braga. A victory would temporarily move the team from the capital to the top of the table.
The home side’s recent form in the Primeira Liga has been mixed. However, a 2-0 defeat at Belenenses last time out ended a nine-game unbeaten run dating back to last season. Their recent league games have been relatively low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last eight matches.
The Eagles have a good recent league record at the Estadio Da Luz, as they are unbeaten in five matches, having recorded four wins. Just like their recent league games in general, their recent home games have been low scoring with under 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last nine outings.
Moreirense have started their league campaign in an inconsistent fashion. The visitors have taken just ten points from their eight league games so far this season, having recorded just three league wins all season. Last time out the visitors recorded a narrow 1-0 win over Maritimo.
Moreirense’s recent league games have been relatively low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four games.
The visitors have a poor recent away record in the Primeira Liga, winning just one of their last ten away games while suffering eight defeats in the process. A big factor that recent away poor form is the lack of goals on their travels, as Moreirense have failed to score in five of their last six away games in the Primeira Liga.
