Everton Continue Premier League Revival

Everton Continue Premier League Revival

There is just one match on Sunday in the Premier League this week and it sees Everton welcome Crystal Palace to Goodison Park.

Much was expected of Everton under Marco Silva this season.  They added several players in the summer but it seems they have all taken time to settle into life at the Toffees.  A win in this match could see Everton move into the top half of the table.

Crystal Palace were also tipped by many to do well this season but have yet to discover their best form. They need a win to move clear of the relegation battle below them.

Everton have won their last two Premier League matches having endured a difficult start to the campaign. The 3-0 home win against Fulham and 2-1 away win at Leicester City has eased some of the pressure which was building on Silva.

Prior to the win over Fulham, Everton had won just one of their six Premier League games and were struggling in the bottom half of the table.  However, the Toffees remain a difficult team to beat and trends show Everton have lost only three of their last sixteen games in all competitions.

Everton have lost just one of their last seven Premier League games on home soil but clean sheets have been rare. Both teams have scored in four of their last five league matches at Goodison Park.

Crystal Palace travel north in the search for what would be a valuable 3 points.  The defeats away to Bournemouth and home to Wolverhampton Wanders mean Crystal Palace have now won only one of their last seven Premier League matches.

The Eagles last win came at Huddersfield Town back on the 15th September and you must go back to the opening day of the season at Fulham to find their only other Premier League victory of this campaign.

Despite having lost five of their last seven league games, Crystal Palace have a decent away record and have won five of their last seven away games in all competitions.  Crystal Palace have lost two of their last eight games away from home in the Premier League but lost 3-1 at Everton last season.

Trends show Crystal Palace have kept a clean sheet in four of their last eight away matches in all competitions.

Team news and Everton could have Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina ready for action this weekend as both wait to make the debuts for the club.  Seamus Coleman remains on the treatment table and Idrissa Gueye is struggling after the international break.

Crystal Palace will be without Christian Benteke and fans will be hoping Wilfried Zaha is fit following international duty.  Connor Wickham and Scott Dann could come into contention having been injured.

This is a match which could see both teams find the back of the net but Crystal Palace may struggle if Zaha is unavailable.  Everton are the form team and should take maximum points from this match.
