On Saturday evening, Norway and Slovenia go head to head in the Nations League C, as the home look to make up ground on Group 3 leaders Bulgaria.
The two teams have enjoyed mixed starts to their Nations League campaigns. Norway have beaten Cyprus, but suffered defeat against Bulgaria, while Slovenia have suffered defeats to both Bulgaria and Cyprus.
Norway’s 1-0 defeat in their last game against Bulgaria ended a five-game winning run for the Scandinavian team. A record of five wins from six games is still a good one for the home side, though.
Norway’s recent international games have been tight, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last eight matches, including their last three outings.
The home side has a very strong recent home record, as they are eight games unbeaten, having recorded six wins and two draws. Norway have also kept clean sheets in four of their last five home games.
Another positive for the Scandinavian side is that they have won three of the last four meetings with Slovenia.
Slovenia head into this game in a poor run of form in the international game. In fact, the visitors have won just one of their last seven matches, while losing four of their last five games.
Slovenia’s recent international matches have been high scoring, with four of their last six games producing over 2.5 goals. A big contributing factor in those high scoring games is that they have conceded at least two goals in five of their last six games.
Unsurprisingly, Slovenia’s recent away record is poor, as they have won just one of their last eight games on their travels while suffering five defeats in their last six away games.
Forebet predicts that Norway will continue their excellent home form by recording a narrow victory in a high scoring encounter.
