On Tuesday night, Atletico Madrid host La Liga new boys Huesca at the Wanda Metropolitano, as the home side attempts to move up the table.

Last season’s La Liga runners-up Atletico have made a mixed start to their campaign in the Spanish top-flight, having won two, drawn two and lost one of their first five league games of the season.

Los Rojiblancos return to winning ways last time out in La Liga with a 2-0 win at Getafe. The result means that nine of Atletico’s last ten games in the Spanish top-flight have produced under 2.5 goals.

Atletico have struggled for wins of late at the Wanda Metropolitano, winning just one of their last five outings on home soil in La Liga. However, Atletico have been hard to beat on home soil in La Liga, losing just once in their last 23 outings in the Spanish top-flight.

As with their general La Liga games, Atletico’s recent away matches have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five away games in the Spanish top-flight.

Huesca have made a mixed start to life in La Liga, as the visitors were undefeated in their first two games only to lose their last three La Liga games. Last time out they suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Real Sociedad.

Huesca have enjoyed mixed fortunes on their travels of late in La Liga, winning once, drawing once and losing once.

One feature of the visitor’s away games so far in La Liga is the high scoring nature, as all three of their games on their travels in the top-flight have produced over 2.5 goals.

A big factor in those high scoring games has been the fact that the visitors have scored at least two goals in all three of their away games in La Liga.

Forebet predicts that Atletico will record a victory in a low scoring win to move back into the top four of La Liga.
