Marseille to record narrow win over Frankfurt

On Thursday evening, French side Marseille host German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, as both teams look to get their Europa League campaigns off with a win.
Marseille have endured a mixed start to their Ligue One campaign this season. The French side’s recent record in the Europa League has also been inconsistent, as the French side has won four, lost two and drawn one of their last seven outings in the competition.
The French side’s recent games in the Europa League games have been relatively high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four outings in the competition.
OM has a strong recent home record in eight of their last ten Europa League games, suffering just one defeat in the process. Marseille have been prolific on home form in the Europa League, scoring at least two goals in five of their last seven games at the Velodrome.
Eintracht Frankfurt have made a poor start to their campaign. However, the German team have a relatively strong recent record in the Europa League, as they are unbeaten in four games in the competition. However, their last appearance was in Europe’s secondary competition was in 2014.
The German side has been prolific in their latest Europa League games, scoring at least two goals in ten of their last 11 outings in the competition. Frankfurt have lost just one of their eight away games in this competition in its different guises. They have also won three of their last five away games in the Europa League.
The visitors have scored at least two goals in five of their last six games on their travels in the Europa League.
