Napoli and Fiorentina go head-to-head at the San Paolo in Serie A on Saturday evening, as the visitors look to continue their excellent start to the campaign.

Napoli suffered a blip last time out when they suffered a 3-0 defeat at Sampdoria. The defeat put an end to the home side’s perfect league record of two wins from two games in the Italian top-flight.

Despite the defeat last time out, Napoli have still won four of their last five Serie A outings, while scoring at least twice in all four victories.

The team from Naples have a strong recent record in Serie A, winning ten of their last 12 Serie A games at the San Paolo.  Napoli have also been prolific on home soil in the Italian top-flight of late, scoring at least twice in their last five outings.

The home side’s goalscoring exploits have contributed to their last five home games in the Italian top-flight producing over 2.5 goals.

Fiorentina have kicked off their Serie A campaign by winning their first two league games against Chievo and Udinese. The Viola’s results this season may have been positive so far, but a record of just four wins from their last nine league games suggests that the visitors have been inconsistent of late in Serie A.

The visitors have lost two of their last three away games in Serie A. However, the team from Florence have won five of their last eight games on their travels in the Italian top-flight.

One of the biggest factors in those aforementioned eight wins has been the Viola’s attacking prowess, as the visitors have scored at least twice in all five of the victories.

Napoli will be desperate to atone for the Sampdoria defeat and Forebet predicts that the home side will get back to winning ways in a high scoring game.
