San Jose and Seattle set for a draw in MLS

In the early hours of Thursday (GMT), San Jose Earthquakes host Seattle Sounders in the Western Conference of MLS.
Both sides are enduring poor campaigns in the US top-flight, as the home side are bottom of the standings, while the visitors are currently tenth-place, but are ten points clear of their struggling opponents in the standings.
San Jose are currently five points behind the nearest team in the West. A run of ten MLS games without a victory has hindered the Earthquakes chances of dragging themselves off the bottom of the standings. Last time out in MLS, the home side suffered a 2-0 defeat against Montreal Impact.

Seattle will still believe they are in with a chance of making the play-off spots, but the visitors are ten points behind the top-six, having played two fewer games than sixth-place Real Salt Lake.
The visitors are unbeaten in four MLS games, having recorded two wins and two draws. Last time out the Sounders recorded a 2-0 home win over Vancouver Whitecaps.
Seattle are unbeaten in their last three MLS away games but have won just two of their last 11 games in the league. Their recent league games on their travels have been relatively low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their previous eight games on the road.
Forebet predicts that this clash will end in a low scoring draw, which will not help either team in their attempts to achieve their respective aims.
