Brondby set for opening day win at Randers
On Monday night, Randers and Brondby kick-off their Danish Superliga campaigns, as both teams look to start their season positively.
Randers needed to win the play-offs to maintain their spot in the Danish Superliga after a poor campaign last season. Despite the fact they took part in the four play-off games, Randers finished the season in decent style, winning four of their last seven games and finishing the season with an unbeaten run of three matches.
Randers games towards the end of the season were relatively high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four league games.
The home side’s home form was also strong towards the end of the campaign, as they went four games unbeaten, recording three victories in the process. Randers also scored at least twice in all three of those victories.
Brondby finished last season with a run of four Superliga games without a win after a strong campaign. Their matches towards the end of the campaign were relatively low-scoring with three of their last four outings producing under 2.5 goals.
Despite a relative lack of goals at the tail end of the campaign, eight of their last nine games saw both teams find the net.
Brondby are now 15 games unbeaten on their travels in the Superliga, having recorded ten victories in the process. Their most recent away games in the Danish top-flight have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five league matches.
One of the main contributing factors to those high scoring encounters has been that the visitors have scored at least two goals in four of their last five games on the road.
