Cittadella and Frosinone set to draw in Serie B play-off
The Italian Serie B has reached the play-off stage of the campaign, as four teams eye a place in Serie A for next season. Two of those teams meet on Wednesday night, as Cittadella and Frosinone go head-to-head in the first leg of their play-off at the Stadio Pier Cesare Tombolato.
Cittadella finished sixth place in the table in the regular season after drawing three of their last four league games. However, the home side is nine games unbeaten in the Italian second tier, including in games against the likes of Palermo and Parma.

Moreno Longo’s side finished the season in strong fashion, winning three of their last four league games. However, a 2-2 home draw with Foggia proved fatal to their chances of sealing automatic promotion.

The visitor’s away record has not been great this season, but they recorded victories in three of their last four Serie B games on their travels. Their recent away games in the Italian second tier have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last seven away outings.
