Milan set to seal Europa League spot

On Sunday evening, AC Milan will look to seal a top-six place in Serie A, as the Rossoneri host Fiorentina at the San Siro.
Gennaro Gattuso’s side are currently sixth-place in the Italian top-flight table, a point clear of Atalanta in seventh. A victory in this clash would guarantee Europa League football next season for the Milan outfit.
The home side has hit an inconsistent spell of form of late, as they have won just one of their last nine games in the Italian top-flight. However, that run has been filled with draws, so it is a case of too many draws and not too many defeats in that poor run of form for Gattuso’s team.
Milan’s recent form on home soil in Serie A has been inconsistent, as again draws have played a big part in recent home games for the Rossoneri, as three of their last five games on home soil have finished all square.
Fiorentina have endured a mixed campaign in the Italian top-flight. The Viola are now out of the race for European football, as the visitors are four points behind the home side in the table heading into this final league game.
Stefano Pioli’s side has been inconsistent of late in the Italian top-flight, winning just two of their last six league games, while suffering three defeats in the process.
The visitor’s recent Serie A outings have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last nine outings in the Italian top-flight.
Pioli’s side has been in good form on their travels of late, though, as they have won four of their last five away games in the Italian top-flight.
