On Sunday afternoon, Manchester United host Watford at Old Trafford on the final day of the 2017/18 Premier League season.

The Red Devils have enjoyed a reasonably consistent campaign and will finish second in the table to arch-rivals Manchester City, who just had too much quality for everybody in the English top-flight.

Jose Mourinho’s team look to have taken their foot off the gas a little of late, as United have failed to win in their last two league outings, losing 1-0 at Brighton before drawing 0-0 with West Ham last time out.

However, the Red Devils home form has been strong in the league as usual, as they have won six of their last seven league games at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho’s team has also scored at least two goals in six of their last seven league games on home soil. However, top scorer Romelu Lukaku will miss this game, so the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial will need to step up their game for that record to continue.

Watford have enjoyed another inconsistent Premier League campaign. However, the Hornets head into the final day as one of four teams on 41 points. Javi Gracia’s side could still finish in the top-half of the table.

A 2-1 home win over Newcastle United last time out ended a horrendous run of seven games without a victory in the league for the visitors.

Watford’s recent away record in the Premier League is dire, as they have failed to win in their last 11 league games on their travels, suffering ten defeats in the process.

The Hornets main problem on their travels has been scoring goals, as they have scored just twice in those 11 winless games on their travels.

Forebet predicts that United will record a comfortable win in a high scoring game to end their league campaign on a positive note ahead of next weekend’s FA Cup final.
